The Compass class C motorhome manufactured by Thor Motor Coach is compact and will be perfect for frequent travelers who wish to cover long distances and move constantly. Its front cap is more low-profile than those usually found on classic class C motorhomes, this is why some might classify this RV as a class B+ motorhome, which is not as big as most class C motorhomes but definitely bigger than a class B motorhome.
The Compass RV is built on a Ford® Transit AWD, all-wheel drive, giving you superior handling. The chassis is equipped with a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost® Turbo gas engine delivering 306 HP and 400 lb. ft. of torque, the transmission is a 10-speed Overdrive and automatic.
You will also find the Ford® safety system including; lane departure warning, pre-collision assistance, auto high beam headlights, tire pressure monitoring system, AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control also called RSC®, hill start assistance, and windshield wiper with rain sensor.
The Ford® chassis also offers a 5,000-pound towing capacity receiver with a 7-way plug, aluminum rims, heated remote mirrors, power locks and windows, a keyless entry system, swivel seats with booster cushions, a multi-function center with an 8-inch screen, an antenna for Sirius service, control at the steering wheel and a backup camera monitor.
As for the RV part, the floor, roof, and walls all have an aluminum frame vacuum-bonded and laminated with high-density foam insulation, a decorative interior panel, and a layer of fiberglass for superior strength. The front is protected by a one-piece molded fiberglass cap with an integrated window and wing walls. The rear wall has a molded fiberglass piece at its top and bottom. The lower part of the side walls features built-in Rotocast storage compartments. Finally, the roof is covered with a seamless TPO membrane.
For an upscale look, the Compass has frameless tinted windows and is decorated with HD-MAX® colored fiberglass with graphic colors available in two colors. It is now possible to replace the HD-MAX® with one of the two optional full-body paint for a look even more high-end!
